
New Leadership Alexandria Sister City

We are excited to introduce Professor Ahmed Warda, MD, Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University as our new President, Alexandria Sister City Committee, Egypt.
Professor Warda most recently was the elected Chairman of the Board, Alexandria Sporting Club. He served almost forty years in medicine and was an Egyptian swimming champion, including winning the Mediterranean competition.
BLASCC in 2010 sent two certified nurses from Baltimore to Alexandria, Egypt. They provided refresher courses on CPR, EKG interpretation and new ways of writing nurses’ notes according to Johns Hopkins procedures. One of BLASCC's multiple initiatives is to repeat this or similar training through our Alexandria Sister City Committee.

Marion Fromlet will continue as Vice President of the Alexandria Sister City Committee. She brings more than 30 years experience in public relations in both Cairo and Hamburg, Germany. Currently Ms. Fromlet is Executive Director and Founder of Culture Bridge Egypt and General Manager of ART Media.Culture.
The mission of the Baltimore-Luxor-Alexandria Sister City Committee is to foster international cooperation and understanding through the sharing of information, knowledge, and technology between Baltimore and the Egyptian cities of Luxor and Alexandria. We develop and promote cross-city exchanges of individuals, groups, and organizations in the areas of business, technology, medical and life sciences, housing and urban development, culture, and education.
